NSW: Mile high horrors nothing on fatherhood for O Donnell

American actor CHRIS O'DONNELL was in Sydney today to promote his new film Vertical
Limit shot on New Zealand's Mount Cook.

The New Zealand location was a stand-in for the world's most deadly mountain climb,
Mt Everest's K-2.

O'DONNELL says the death-defying stunts at great heights weren't the most frightening
thing he'd ever experienced.

He says the birth of his baby daughter LILY while he was in New Zealand was the scariest.

It looks like he will be going through it all again as his wife CAROLINE is pregnant again.

Best known for playing Robin to GEORGE CLOONEY'S Batman, O'DONNELL spent six frozen
months filming 10,000 feet above sea level.

Backing-up O'DONNELL are Australian screen stars ROBERT TAYLOR of the Matrix, BEN MENDELSOHN
of Idiot Box and STEVE LE MARQUAND of Two Hands.

Hitting Australian cinemas on December 21, Vertical Limit's opening weekend in the
United States brought in around $US16 million ($A29.4 million).
